LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH: Research from the Center for the Study of Social Policy and Strengthening Families in Illinois shows that when Protective Factors are present that families are stronger and children are safer. Parent Cafe offers parents the opportunity to share in small group discussion – facilitated by a Parent Host – to talk, listen, and support one another. Parent Cafe supports parents in building friendship and a strong network of families who help one another stay strong!
Five Protective Factors:
– Be strong and flexible
– Parents need friends
– Being a great parent is part natural and part learned
– We all need help sometimes
– Parents need to help their children communicate
This summer we are offering TWO opportunities to experience Parent Cafe!
